Your oral health is paramount to us, at any age.

Our priority is to get you as healthy as we can by giving you the best advice and showing you the tools to achieve this. Your initial visit to us is 45 minutes long.  This gives us plenty of time to discuss your dental needs and aspirations.  We will discuss your dental history and get an idea of what you may have already experienced, be this good or bad.  We will discuss your current oral health care habits, your diet and your smoking and alcohol consumption.  This allows us to risk assess you for all the things that we are aiming to prevent, such as tooth decay, gum disease and oral cancer.

We will thoroughly examine your mouth

Including your soft tissues (such as your tongue, cheeks, gums, under the tongue and the roof of your mouth), your teeth and any existing restorations (fillings and crowns) that you may have. We will assess the bite of your teeth, check whether you are grinding your teeth or wearing them in an unhealthy way.

Any necessary radiographs (x-rays) will be taken as well as photographs of your teeth and gums.  We also examine your head and neck lymph nodes (glands) and check that these are all healthy.

Follow up appointments and treatment options

We will discuss our findings with you and any potential treatment that is recommended or that you are enquiring about.  Once you have had time to fully absorb all the information and your treatment options, we will see you for a follow up appointment to answer any questions you may have and get you booked in if you wish to go ahead.
