On Saturday the 30th of August the ‘Ocean Village Dental Clinic Walkers’ took to the challenging Jurassic Coast to walk 26 miles to raise some much-needed funds for Alzheimer’s UK.

It was quite the adventure. Sally, Lorraine, Leah and Judith, set out with a beautiful sunrise waving them off from Corfe Castle. The fabulous views made light of the tricky uneven terrain and upon entering the lovely town of Swanage the miles seemed to melt away with ease. However, mother nature had other plans. Torrential rain set in for the second half of the walk accompanied with high winds and mud which turned their hiking boots into skates. It was torrid. Digging into their training reserves, the walkers managed to plough on and crossed the finish line exhausted but thoroughly elated.
Well done girls! You did it and you raised a staggering £1520 for Alzheimer’s UK.
Each year at Ocean Village Dental Clinic we embark on challenges to help a much-needed charity.
If you wish to donate our pages are still open and we would be extremely grateful.
